How to Use This Resource
- The CannaCompanion is based on the best available evidence, with all reference sources available for your consideration. This tool is to be used as guidance only and should only be used in conjunction with a comprehensive medical assessment & clinical judgement.
- Whilst the tool highlights some examples of medications that can potentially interact with medicinal cannabis products and suggests some risk mitigation strategies, it should not be used as comprehensive list of all possible interactions/monitoring requirements/risk mitigation management strategies.
- The absence of an interaction result should in no way be interpreted to indicate that the herb and drug combination is safe or appropriate. It is the responsibility of the end user to evaluate all information in the clinical setting before making any final prescribing decision.
